Sunset City Tour

City Wildlife Adventure

Quick Details

The Lynx have been a frequent site this year. They are usually a rare siting and can be difficult to capture on camera. This summer we have had some exceptional luck.

The Salmon along Ship-Creek have been plentiful. We had a record run of King Salmon this year and our many guests have enjoyed the views only blocks from the heart of downtown Anchorage.

Make sure you include the downtown Anchorage Sunset City Tour during your visit to Alaska.

Experience the Land of the Midnight Sun at Sunset!

You can’t take a trip to Alaska without seeing an incredible sunset! Watch as the sky is painted by the sun as you enjoy the breathtaking views and learn the ins and outs of Anchorage’s history!

The Sunset City Tour of Anchorage includes a trip to the hillside and potters marsh, a boardwalk with an incredible view and the opportunity to see birds like geese and arctic terns, and even the occasional moose!

We also visit Point Woronzof, a park known for its coastal tidelands and wildlife viewings. From there, we can enjoy terrific views of the inlet and surrounding mountain ranges. Lake Hood and several other scenic outlooks make for excellent sunset views throughout the tour.

At dusk, be on the lookout for moose and bear returning from a day of foraging in the woods. The final stop on our Anchorage sightseeing tour is a scenic view of Cook Inlet and a photo of you with the sunset as a backdrop.

This is the best time to capture photos of the city, wildlife, and the Alaskan mountains! This tour leaves three hours prior to sunset so we have time to see all of the sights and snap photos as the sun goes down. This Anchorage tour includes free photos! Sunset hours are subject to change based on sunset hours.
